" ADD YOUR SOUNDS AND IDEAS TO A SHIFITNG PIECE OF ORIGINAL MUSIC"

For one week, I set up my studio in Hauraki House Gallery in Coromandel Town. With synthesisers, instruments, and other interesting noise making things.

Guests were invited to participate in the creation of an entirely original piece of music. by adding sounds and ideas, singing songs, making noises and telling stories. Each new addition was recorded and mixed in, mashed, remixed and tweaked.

The idea was that anyone - and I mean absolutely anyone, young and old, musical or non musical - was invited to come along at any time between 10 and 4 and participate by contributing a sound, lyric, or an idea to a continuously developing piece of music.
The result is a 24 minute long piece of totally wiered and awesome music/soundscape.

It was a fantastic experiment.

Thanks to Thames-Coromandel District Council, and Creative New Zealand's Creative Communities Scheme!
