  • “Matt brought his skill, expertise, and enthusiasm – not to mention a bunch of top notch recording gear – to Huapai District School last November to work with our band District Riot. Matt was the perfect engineer for our students to work with.

He put them at ease with his relaxed, easy going approach, whilst working with them to bring out their best performance. Our music room was temporarily transformed into a recording studio, and Matt worked expertly with our environment and instruments to get the best possible sound.

He also put in hours of post-production, creating a top quality product that blew us all away! Thanks to Matt we have a lasting document of our student’s achievements that they and their families treasure, and that our school community can share with pride.”

Heather Bolton – Huapai District School.

Online Mix-down

  • up to 4 hours digital mixing

  • 4 mix revisions

  • only NZ$100 per track

  • you pay only when satisfied

Online mixing is a cost-effective and accessible way to bring your music to a professional standard.  I bring fresh ears, expert knowledge and objectivity to your project.

> Firstly we discuss your project, and what sort of sound you are going for. I like to get an idea of your desired aesthetic before beginning.
> You then send through multitrack files via Dropbox, wetransfer or similar. And if you have one, a rough mix of the song.
> I’ll spend up to two hours shaping a preliminary mix. (If the song is particularly complex and needs more time i will tell you before continuing)
>  I’ll e-mail you a first mix for your thoughts. You can get others to listen; friends, the rest of the band, your mum etc.
> We then go through up to 4 revisions, and I’ll keep mixing until you are satisfied*
> Once you are satisfied, and payment has been made, I will deliver a final Pre-Master (24 bit 48khz) which is ready for mastering.

*I’ll spend up to a total of 4 hours on a mix. If your project is very complex, or if you make changes to the composition after the first mix, more time may be needed. This will be charged at $35 per hour.

  • “Matt provided an excellent sound for The Jews Brothers Band at our recent concert at Jacaranda Lodge, Coromandel. Our band of seasoned professionals likes to set up as quickly as possible and he was able to swiftly supply our needs. We heartily recommend his services.”
    > Linn Lorkin – The Jews Brothers
  • “Matt provided sound engineering for ‘Head Chef’ at our wedding. I found Matt to be professional, knowledgeable and he worked hard to accommodate our requirements.  He was happy to travel to the venue on the upper Coromandel Peninsula and provide heaps of advice. I have no hesitation in recommending him highly to others requiring sound engineering services, and I would certainly use him again myself.”
